Manistee is known as The Victorian Port City. Take "A Step back in time" and visit the Historic Manistee's River Street. The downtown is a national and state Historic District. Victorian buildings line the street, which follows the winding Manistee River all the way to Lake Michigan. Along River Street, you will see small shops in historic buildings, restaurants, antique stores, gift shops, City Marina, bakeries and nautical and unusual gifts.
