OVW Grants Available to Rural/Tribal CACs

11 Jan 2017 11:19 AM | Michael Christy (Administrator)

NCA has worked with the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) to have Children's Advocacy Centers added as a priority funding area under the Rural Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, and Stalking Program. NCA has advised MINCA that despite the title of the solicitation, virtually all activities that could be undertaken by a rural or tribal CAC are fundable under this award. MINCA, NCA and OVW would like to see more eligible CAC programs apply for these funds. Please note that only those developing or established CACs that are serving rural or tribal areas are eligible to apply. Information on the program is below:

The FY17 Rural Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence and Stalking Program solicitation has been posted on OVW’s website and on Grant.Gov.

The deadline for applications is February 23, 2017.

Pre-application conference calls will be held on:

Tuesday, January 31, 2017 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. EST

Wednesday, February 8, 2017 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. EST

To register for the pre-application conference calls, please contact Michelle Thomas, Rural Program Assistant, at Michelle.thomas2@usdoj.gov.

If you have any questions about the solicitation, please feel free to contact me at 202-532-3546 or via email at Debbie.bright@usdoj.gov.

Please let us know if you have any questions or if we can be of any assistance.
